QUICK-WITTED AGENTS

It takes a lot of with and quick thinking to come up with bright and helpful ideas that would mark operations’ successes, like what two agents were able to exhibit during one surveillance operation.

The two agents were assigned to conduct a surveillance operation where they were required to take photos of their subject and the suspect. So they went to the area and positioned themselves for a stakeout, keeping an eye at almost every corner and making sure that they would immediately spot the targets as soon as they appear. However, hours already passed by; neither the subject nor the suspect showed up.

Still alert, they waited for the moment they were all waiting for which, after some time, finally arrived. And there they were – the subject and the suspect appearing together. Seizing the moment, one of the agents immediately tried to find a place where he could take pictures. But since the area was not conducive to such an operation as they had no service car that time and they could not take photos discreetly, they were pushed to resort to something else.

Soon, a pedicab passed by and an agent, not wasting any time, talked to its driver. He asked the said driver how much his boundary was and told him that he would be to pay the full cost of it as long as he would be allowed to use the vehicle. Completely persuaded, the driver agreed. So the two agents quickly boarded the pedicab. And like what they thought of, they took photos of the subject and suspect which they were able to do with so much ease while they were inside the said pedicab.

In the end, they were successful in their mission that they were commended for their winning idea and strategy.

SELF-CONTROL

Life has its own way of surprising people, at times in strangest ways. A male operative, who was assigned to a mission involving women, faced an astounding test of his limitations as he went through an assignment.

The male agent disguised as a customer of a dry goods store in Ermita. Through assuming this role, he was tasked to befriend the female best friend of the subject who was of the same sex. This was in order to find his way to getting close to the subject and get all the necessary information. The subject’s best friend was working for the same store as a saleslady.

Through the agent’s sound and convincing strategies, he was able to win the trust of the best friend and eventually got close to her. Moreover, the best friend got too comfortable with him that to his surprise, she invited him to visit and even date her. Being a man fully aware of his nature, he was somehow tempted to go with the flow. But fortunately, he was able to win over the situation in the end. He was able to control himself not to take advantage of the situation and kept in his mind that all he had to do was to get the necessary information, nothing more than that and certainly no room for anything personal.

Saved from the pit of temptation, he was soon able to meet the subject after being introduced to her by the best friend herself. Now having all the privilege to communicate to the subject, he was able to acquire all the vital information he was required to get through their casual conversations. He was also able to take pictures of the two girls together as proofs. And for additional evidence, he also showed the client some items he bought from the store as well as the receipts obtained from the restaurants where he used to meet the subject’s best friend.

Despite of the test involving the agent’s personal boundaries that was quite tough, the mission still ended well. In fact, the client was so satisfied with his work and he was praised for a job well-done.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Evidence-gathering could be really tough that plan A’s might not suffice to fulfill a certain mission. In a time like this, an agent must quickly think of another way in order to get the job done. Sometimes, it is the cooperation of the unaware is the one that is needed.

Targeting to catch an immoral subject in the act and take concrete pieces of evidence of his deeds, an agent was assigned to serve as a foot operative of a surveillance operation.

The agent began the work through discreetly observing the subject at his office and then following him at a hotel in Makati where he headed to. Carrying a camera on his hand with utmost care, the agent continued to track his subject up to a penthouse where a wedding party was taking place.

In his attire certainly jiving with the occasion, he was allowed to enter the venue. There he was able to see the subject while sitting beside him was the female suspect.

Eager not to miss any chance, he seized the moment by immediately taking some shots of them together through the camera he was still carrying. However, he was uncertain of the quality of those shots so he decided to take another step in order to be sure of the mission’s success.

Thinking of making use of what’s available, he approached the official wedding photographer to which he told a well-concocted story. The photographer was soon convinced because the things he said. So, the photographer followed the agent when he said that taking photographs of the subject and the suspect while embracing each other would be very essential.
The next day, the agent picked up five photos from the said photographer. In the photos, the subject and the suspect’s moments were clearly captured.
